While the curriculum is similar to an MBA programme, the PGDM curriculum focusses more on imparting knowledge through hands-on learning and case studies. This is done to prepare the students for the industry and shape them into leaders and managers who can guide others tomorrow. Who can seek admission? An aspirant’s need to be graduates of any field along with having the minimum aggregate marks, this can range from 50%-65% depending on the type of affiliation of the college. One needs to submit the original documents and the marks card of tenth, twelve and graduation at the time of admission. Moreover, most colleges conduct their own entrance examinations to admit students on the basis of their performance in the test along with having an interview and aptitude round for the shortlisted candidates. Will qualifying the entrance examination suffice? After one scores the minimum marks and bags a place among the shortlisted candidates, they need to go through a series of rounds before they become eligible for admission. These rounds test a candidate’s reasoning, problem solving and analytical thinking capabilities.
